iSURVEY - Offline Survey Forms App Reviews

I use this for my job, and it works wonderfully. It’s got some nice time saving features- the ability to swipe back and forward between questions, and the ability to select an answer from a drop down list using just a few letters. I’ve never had any problems with this app.

I have been using this program for 3+ years without issue. However there is a glitch when users are taking survey on iOS device. If asking for email the program does does record answer when user hits “done” instead of next. Even if question is required user skips q and program does not record answer. There is NO way to contact anyone from this company making it impossible to get any assistance.

I have been using these app to run several surveys for our clients. It’s incredibly easy to use and the fact that the field team can use their own phones its even better. Not just that but costumer service is fantastic. Highly recommended. Easy to use and affordable, best option out there by far!

This app was great! Easy to create a survey, easy to use, and the product looked great. I used this for the second time for a class project and could not be happier. Once again I needed something students could use without wifi and then upload data later. No problems at all with the survey or with uploading/downloading data. The response from users was amazing too... many asked about the app and commented about how easy it was and fun too! Once again Tech support was amazing! They remembered me from 4 years ago and provided the same great support. A huge thank you for all of the support! Highly recommend this app....does everything it says it does and does it very, very well! Looking forward to using it again and again!

Programming surveys is extremely easy to do, even with no programming experience. No code is required and they have just about every question type you need for robust surveys. Most importantly, this does not crash and there are no surprises when fielding, it does what it is supposed to. More advanced programming such as piping and branching from multiple response questions would make this App even better. I've tried other offline survey software / apps and while the cost was about 10-15 times this one, they boasted more functionality, which they did have, but the surveys would crash and the data would have errors. It was a relief to go back to using iSurvey.

I have really enjoyed this app. I am working on my dissertation in another country and was not done when I was scheduled to leave. I was able to download the survey on my assistants droid tablet even though I had been running it on Mac products. It worked great! Also, downloading the information is super easy and when the surveys are collected and uploaded in the other country I can get the results online immediately. It has been very helpful and I will recommend this app to all of my colleagues and anyone else I know of that is conducting surveys. The price is a little high, but you can get a nonprofit discount if you are in the education field!

Was a great survey app. Easy to set up and install on my phone. Had all the results emailed to me once they were submitted. Got the job done!

I have used this app on multiple studies… never fails to impress.

Use with caution - this app requires many program settings to be adjusted by the users which can create field issues - e.g. I fielded a multi-language survey only to find out after it was launched that the data could not be download in a numeric format (so all the languages could be aggregated) because a separate setting for each individual question was not 'turned on', which created a huge mess for the analysis.

Easy to use and perfect for data collection in areas with limited internet access.

As an evaluator/researcher in cultural settings (e.g., museums, zoos, libraries) and informal science education (e.g., maker spaces, after school programs, science fairs), iSurvey has easily become the one tool I can't do without. It is customizable in many more ways than other survey apps (e.g., QuickTap) and offers fantastic, user-friendly features. Want to brand a survey with your client's logo and color scheme? Simple! Want to re-order your questions? Not a problem. The vast number of question options is astounding. You can collect on-screen signatures (for consent, etc.), read QR codes, open your tablet's camera and video so participants can capture what they are seeing and doing... and this is all in addition to very clear, well-designed traditional survey question formats like multiple choice, grids, and Likert scales. Importantly, once your survey is built and ready to use, you do not have to be connected to the Internet/wifi while collecting data. This means you can quite literally take your surveys anywhere you want to go. Of course, another wonderful advantage is that iSurvey eliminates tedious and expensive data entry; that, and participants respond so well to the novelty of taking a survey without a clipboard! Uploading survey results couldn't be easier and you can export the data into a variety of usable formats (e.g., SPSS) for analysis. Those who complain about the price must not have compared iSurvey to other options. Their pricing structure is more than fair and they offer many options to meet the needs of businesses, individuals, nonprofits, and students. Perhaps the very best thing about iSurvey is how responsive they are to user feedback and requests. The app keeps getting better and better. Seriously. Look no further. This is an amazing data collection tool. I recommend it without hesitation.

The monthly fees are outrageous.

iSURVEY is one the most generous foundation on wildlife conservation. The founder of the foundation generously supports my PhD survey without any fee. This foundation should be supported without doubt. I recommend fellows to support this foundation and I also go for five star.

This app is versatile and very easy to use. I shopped around quite a bit when I was in the market for an offline data collection tool, and isurvey definitely offered the most options in terms of foreign language capability, question/response formatting, and customizability. I literally couldn't believe it when my directional arrows and start/stop instructions showed up in Spanish. Yay! Additionally, the technology is very reliable. I've worked with the isurvey app for almost two months and haven't had a single issue. It definitely didn't hurt that isurvey doesn't charge you extra for including more than one device (almost every other data collection tool incorporated an additional fee for doing this). Building my questionnaire within the isurvey platform was a breeze and using the app for data collection was even easier. Here's some backstory to illustrate what I mean about usability: I'm a doctoral candidate in epidemiology and I work in a remote area in Latin America. I employ local research assistants to help with data collection, and many have not seen/used an iPad before. I conducted a technical training session, followed by a mock survey seminar and the study team was literally off and running. The app was that simple to use. Fast forward two months, and I am actually ahead of my dissertation data collection targets. Yes. Ahead. Thanks, isurvey because this is f***ing awesome! I've had no problems converting my survey data into an excel spreadsheet once I have an internet connection again. This makes it super easy to upload into STATA, SPSS, SASS, R, M+ or whatever statistical software you use. Additionally, isurvey's customer service is excellent. In my experience, if I emailed them a question, they had a personal response to me within 24 hours. I had a number of conversations with Steve, and he was always quick to respond and addressed my questions clearly and professionally. I've worked with at least three other online survey companies, and this was NOT my experience at all. isurvey definitely made it their mission to make sure I was thrilled with their product! I feel like I should point out that I am not the type of person who typically writes positive reviews. In fact, this is only my second one ever (the first was a delicious, albeit random, custard stand in Denver). Yes, I'm that a**hole who tortures other Yelp subscribers with her long rants about the impossibility of getting good pizza in the American southwest and the terrible customer service at Home Depot. But this... isurvey... you are excellent. And for that, I give you five stars. Yes. Five. And in case you were wondering, I only gave the custard stand four.

My company has been using iSurvey on Kindle devices with great success. More important, the support and responsiveness from iSurveysoft when I've had questions or suggestions has been outstanding. In fact, it ranks as some of the best customer support I've received from any company, ever.

I work in the school of medicine at a large university and we were in need of an app that would allow our students to be clinically evaluated daily. ISurvey has fit our every need and allowed this to happen. The results can be downloaded in a very manageable excel spreadsheet and kept for our records. Not only is the product great, but so is customer service. Steve always gets back to me within a few hours. I highly recommend isurvey!

Have used the App for two years with great results. Easy to set up. Nice options. I had one quirky issue and the iSurvey team responded very quickly and worked late to resolve my issue successfully. Very positive, kind and helpful communication from the head of iSurvey. For what you get, the price is very reasonable and very worth it for the results.

After completing my first major project using iSurvey for the iPad, I highly recommend this app. It offers a great variety of question types and options and yet it's very easy to set up a survey. It's also very easy to navigate and fill out a survey, and the app collects the data flawlessly. The web-based reporting tool is also versatile and very easy to use. The tutorial is well done and helpful, and the developers provide excellent support and are prompt in answering questions. You get what you pay for—and this App is more than worth the price because it's worry-free.

The low rating on this app isn't fair. We've been using this app in the field to collect consumer surveys for over a year now and it works exactly as advertised. The development team is working regularly to make it better and while there is a steep cost, its worth every dime. We've contacted support on several occasions and received very personalized and honest assistance every time. Well done!

This app is excellent for trade show surveys. Not only will you "wow" your customers with your tech savviness, you'll "wow" your boss and colleagues with the results you receive! My company has used iSurvey for our biggest trade shows - the app and website you use to set-up these surveys is simple and intuitive. Give it a try!
